Wind turbine maintenance technicians – X Wind Services

X Wind Services is looking for several candidates to fill some wind turbine maintenance technician positions for special projects on wind farms in Canada.

Responsabilities

• Perform repairs, major components replacement and installation of various systems in wind turbines.
• Perform corrective and predictive maintenance on various types of wind turbines.;
  Identify and solve various technical problems;
• Perform quality work monitoring (quality assurance and quality control);
• Plan, monitor and carry out the necessary corrective work;
• Other;
• Collaborate to a safe working environment;

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience in wind energy;
• Diploma in electromechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance;
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills
• Ability to read and understand diagrams;
• Know how to read and understand written instructions and manuals;
• Know how to use safe manual tools;
• ASP certification is an asset;
• Ability to communicate in writing and orally, in French and in English;
• Be able to work with little supervision;
• Know how to use a computer and have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;
• Have high quality standards;
• Hold a valid driver’s license;
• Experience in the field of construction (an asset);

Essential physical abilities

• Ability to lift loads up to 40 lbs;
• Ability to climb ladders up to 100 meters high and work in restricted space in a variety of environmental conditions;
• Ability to work long hours and sometimes weekends as needed;
• Can be mobile and work outside the home for several weeks in a row;
